(On having a longer practice) "We had a little bit of a longer practice today, did some extra things, guys got up a little bit, had an interest in working on certain situations in a football game. The guys bought in, they're doing a great job, responding to what we talk about in team meetings, getting better and better every day, going out there doing what we have to do. Certain things you had to do today, and certain things they understand, we understand this is our job. They like winning."
(On who would play if Antonio Bryant and Stylez G. White can't go on Sunday) "Well, AB playing was in effect last week without AB so you kind of know that already, same thing there. When you talk about the defensive ends, we had eight guys up last week, we had all those guys in rotation, you're talking about [Tim] Crowder, you're talking about Jimmy Wilkerson, you're talking about [Michael Bennett] coming in there playing for us a little bit, and Kyle Moore was up so we should be okay there at the end position. It's just something you have to deal with in football injuries and we'll be ready to go. I don't want to assume Stylez isn't going to be ready, I don't know yet."
(On if Antonio Bryant will play) "You have to let him go through the process. It's been going on all year. He had a week and a half off so far, he's been out the last two days, so we just have to see where he is and make a decision once we get to gameday."
(On White's play since trading Gaines Adams) "He's been playing at a high level. His motor, his rush skills, how he's been playing the run, and how he's been practicing first of all has been really impressive and I don't know if it's the trade Gaines [Adams]. I think it's maybe more opportunities. It's being on the field more, liking to be on the field more, having the opportunity and going out there and taking advantage of it. That's what you have to do in this business, you never know when you have your time to shine, and he's having his time to shine right now because he's been out there doing it."
(On White in practice) "He was not particularly fond of practice and he didn't like to do it. I don't know if he likes to do it now, but he is forcing himself to. Even last week, his coach got on him a little and said 'Hey, you didn't practice the same way you did the week before.' We just kind of keep him motivated to keep him going. The better he practices the more protection he gets and it's evident and it's clear and it's right out there for you guys."
(On White's style of play) "He's developing a bull rush. His hump move is already developed. But the speed rush and he came off the hump move, now he's getting a little bit of a bull. You get fancy every once in a while and we give you nicknames every once in a while. You guys can ask him his nicknames and he can tell you what he calls himself. Stylez is a little bit of a character in a sense and it's good."
(On Jason Taylor) "Jason Taylor is Jason Taylor, those kinds of guys are what they are. They are mentally, physically just better than everybody because they force their will on their opponents, and that's just the player he is. Is he the Jason Taylor he was when he was 22? Probably not, but the skills, the mindset, the length, just who he is every day is going to be a problem for anybody."
(On practice after first victory) "The victory only makes you want more. It's been a little more intense. It's been better for these guys. You go either way, either the guys go loosey-goosey or they tighten up. Really for me it's a chance to really yell at them when you get a win because this is what you guys really can do, and this is how we can really be successful, and if we really want to do it big time let's do it like this every week and let's get it more and more locked in. Let's get the screws locked in, let's be more in the details of this situation. We did it, we did that win. That's one time, so if you do it once you can do it again, so let's go out there and see if we can do it again."
(On preparing for the Wildcat in practice) "We just have a lot of things to do. This is a very complex team. We're talking about a Dan Henning coached offense, and you're talking about a defense with a lot of different deals with the 3-4, and a lot of different blitz packages, it's all of them. It's all the stuff they do. I don't want to give credit just to the wildcat, that's awesome, don't get me wrong and it's tough to deal with as you can ask a lot of people in the league. They have a bunch of different packages that provide different problems. I don't know if you're considering Pat White wildcat, or I don't know whether you're considering Ronnie Brown wildcat, or I don't know if you're considering Chad Henne back there doing what he does and handing the ball off to Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown wildcat. You have to deal with Ted Ginn Jr. and how fast he is."
(On Wildcat defense) "It's option football. It's assignment football as you guys know. It's like I said yesterday, Elon going to play Hofstra, Navy going to play Notre Dame. You have to be ready, and it's how you win football games and you have to be assignment careful, you have to have everybody on the details of their assignment and when you're not and you're sloppy, you get gashed. You have to go out there and be prepared. This team can also overpower you, they're a big physical unit, that's how they built this football team."
(On Derrick Ward) "He didn't get the carries, but he got the receptions last week. It all works itself out. He's getting the same amount of series. He's getting the same amount of plays just about, and when he's getting out there, you really can't determine how many carries you get. It's just all in the flow of the game. What happened the other day, he happened to be in there on one of the big time screens and he had a bunch of yards as far as receiving yards. Cadillac was in there on some of the runs where we were able to get off some pretty good runs. He actually had four carries. They got a little hot, they decided to stop the run, had a couple bear fronts on him and created some real problems. You're forced to throw the ball a little bit. You have to dictate the tempo on what you want to do. At the same time, you have to do what's best for the situation, and that's where we are as a football team."
(On the Dolphins being physical) "No doubt, there is no question. Like I said right from the very beginning, usually the most physical team wins that day, and you have to go out there and prepare yourself to be more physical, more mentally tough, and grind through it. Violent football teams win, and this team is a violent football team."
